How long will it keep my food cold?

This depends on how you use it. For the best cold times, we recommend packing cold foods, keeping your packed lunch refrigerated overnight and reducing empty space. The ice pack pouches are cleverly positioned on the outside of the bag, so you can slide in the ice packs without opening the bag and losing cool air. If used like this, your food should stay cold all day. 

Does it fit a bento box or lunch box? 

Yes! It’s the perfect size for a bento box or lunch box (like Yumbox). The expandable feature also allows for a piece of fruit, snacks or a drink bottle to fit on top of your lunch box.

Love it

Previously we used Smigglw for my little one, but I found it does not fit for the purposes, decided to trial Artic Expandle and my little one love it. The size is perfect for multiple container, best part is the ice pack they last quite long. We normally added in one extra one if the weather is above 38 degree. My only complaint would be the quality of the zip, but so far so good. As a result this is my second purchase.

Outstanding lunchbox

We have been using this lunchbox since mini hippo started selling them. They are awesome. Washable and easy to keep clean. Ice bricks are amazing. Have had no mould issues in Qld. Great for when the kids are on a growth spurt and you need extra food you just zip it open! Have never had a problem with this product.

Perfect size and exactly what I was looking for.

These lunch packs are the perfect size. My kids have the yumbox tapas bento lunch boxes and snacks size. Without expanding it fits the tapas box, and if expanded out it fits the tapas and snack with space for a juice box or flavoured milk.

I love that the ice bricks have their own compartment it means they don't have to juggle them when trying to get to their containers and worry about trying to play tetris getting everything back in to put it away after they are done. I would definitely recommend this cooler bag.

I also like that it has the handles in 2 positions making it easier to slide out of their backpack compartment.
