It’s officially spooky season, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a delicious Halloween recipe. Here’s what we’re making this weekend…
CHOCOLATE-COVERED GHOST PRETZELS
We’ll be the first ones to admit that these pretzels are more adorable than they are terrifying, but they will get your kids into the Halloween spirit nonetheless! Covered in delicious white chocolate, they’re super easy to make and even more fun to find in a Yumbox.
SHREDDED CHICKEN AND RICE-STUFFED CAPSICUM
When you can’t find a tiny pumpkin, and light red capsicum is definitely the next best thing – and it’s a lot easier to carve! We can’t get enough of these spooky stuffed capsicums, which can easily be made vegetarian or vegan if you swap out the filling recipe.
CHOCOLATE-STUFFED JACK-O-LANTERN COOKIES
They’re definitely not the healthiest Halloween recipe treat but, boy, will your kids love these sugar-coated cookies. Spiced with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, these brown sugar cookies are delicious on their own – but when you add the oozy chocolate filling, they’re seriously next-level. Definitely worth investing in a special cookie cutter!
SPOOKY SPIDER DEVILED EGGS
These are the perfect nutritious, delicious and devilish lunchbox snack! All you need to do is make some curried eggs, then slice up a few black olives and arrange them around the one whole olive to create a creepy crawling spider. They’re the ultimate combination of ‘trick’ and ‘treat’!
An awesome Halloween recipe with minimal ingredients or effort? We’re so there. These mummy cookies are the perfect solution for time-poor parents who want to give their kids a bit of Halloween cheer – they take less than five minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook!
